About Christina Farrell

Christina is a teaching artist and arts education consultant with a professional background in opera and theatre. But the visual arts have always been her joyful source of exploration. Inspired by the many talented teaching artists she's been able to collaborate with over the years, she approaches her art-making with curiosity and playfulness. Infusing her theatre background into her art, she often aims to spark the beginning of a story in the mind of the viewer or to evoke the sensory qualities of a time and place. At museums, you may find her standing in front of one painting for an hour and wondering, and wondering, and wondering. She hopes to inspire wonder in others as well.
